Abbots Langley Office

The Proffitt & Holt Abbots Langley estate agency office is located on the High Street and has been established there since 1999. The office offers residential sales, lettings and property management and is also the base for our associated financial services company The Mortgage Advice Bureau.

The sales and lettings departments deal with property throughout the WD5 area including Abbots Langley village itself, Hunton Bridge, Bedmond, Pimlico, Leverstock Green & Leavesden. The property in the area includes a diverse choice of purpose built flats, modern developments of starter and family homes, Victorian cottages and larger family homes dating back to the 1930's.

The village has a busy High Street with a range of good quality local shops and amenities catering for many day to day requirements. It also boasts a varied choice of restaurants, cafes and a number of takeaway outlets and pubs. For a more comprehensive range of shops and amenities the larger towns of Watford, Hemel Hempstead & St Albans are within easy reach.

The village is ideally located for the commuter with Kings Langley mainline station approximately 1 mile from the village centre providing a fast and regular service to London Euston and junction 20 of the M25 is approximately 1.5 miles distant which in turn gives access to the motorway network and all major London airports.

 Key Staff

Mark Soanes
Branch Manager

Mark started his property career back in 1991 with a small firm of estate agents in Bedfordshire. After learning the trade, he quickly moved through the ranks and spent twelve years with a large corporate agency based in Leighton Buzzard and Milton Keynes. He then decided he needed a new challenge and went on to successfully manage offices in both the highly desirable market towns of Harpenden and Berkhamsted. In 2011 Mark joined Proffitt & Holt as Branch Manager of the Abbots Langley office where, under his leadership, they have once again become market leaders in the village. Mark grew up in Wokingham, Berkshire, he is married and has a 6 year old son called Harry, he has spent the majority of his working life as an estate agent and enjoys the buzz and excitement it can bring. He enjoys socialising with friends, playing golf, days out with his family and is a keen supporter of his local football club.

Mary Tonna
Senior Negotiator

Mary grew up in west London & moved to Hertfordshire in 1985. Her first job was for Barclays, where she stayed for 11 years before leaving to have children. She decided after many years off that the tax man needed her, so got into estate agency 15 years ago and has been with Proffitt & Holt in the Abbots Langley office for almost 13 years. Her favourite aspect of estate agency is the variety of tasks & challenges along with the satisfaction of seeing a sale go through with happy buyers & sellers. She loves Abbots Langley because it feels like a village but has everything you need on your doorstep. The people are friendly & there is such a selection of properties ranging from the very old to modern. In her spare time Mary likes to dance Ceroc, read & go for walks.

Ed Davies
Senior Negotiator

Ed started his career in estate agency at an independent estate agents in Watford before moving to Proffitt and Holt to join the Abbots Langley team in 2011. His passion for property emerged when he was hunting for his own place (which he now lives in with his girlfriend and 2 dogs). He felt that it was something he would really enjoy doing so decided to take the plunge. He was previously a restaurant manager for 4 years and made the transition seamlessly due to his love for customer service. His favourite aspects of the job are working with a complete mix of people and the joy that they get from buying and selling along with the genuine interest he has in different sorts of property. Ed has lived in the area his entire life and loves the village lifestyle in Kings and Abbots Langley yet still so close to London. Outside of work most of Ed’s interests lie in sports of different varieties, he is a keen footballer and Watford FC supporter but loves a good round of golf and watching Formula 1.
